Weeping Siberian Pea Tree
Caragana arborescens Pendula
The Weeping Siberian Pea Tree is EXTREMELY RARE!
Rare Shrub is Exceptionally Hardy!
Versatile Pendula resists pest, disease, heat , and wind!
Pendula boasts weeping green stems clothed in attractive mid-green compound leaves, offsetting the myriad yellow, pea-like blossoms in mid-spring.
Caragana aborescens was introduced into the Imperial Botanical Gardens of St. Petersburg in 1730, this rare shrub is perfect for the patio, terrace, or mixed border. Hardy, pest- and disease-resistant, it flourishes in full sun in the north, light shade in the south. Heat and wind tolerant, too!
Plants are top-grafted at 36 to 50 inches. Once established, Pendula quickly reaches 4 to 5 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide. Zones 2-7.
