Grass Variegated Japanese Silver ’ Large clumps of green and silver arching foliage add an element of motion as they sway in the wind. Impressive feathery plumes in fall are bronze-red, turning to silver and persisting through the winter months. Excellent as a specimen, and especially when mass planted to create broad sweeping drifts. Suitable for screening, or at/in the water’s edge. Moderate to fast growth rate, tolerant of windy locations. Tiny fruit attracts winter songbirds. Prefers full sun in northern zones. Mature height 5’ - 8’, spacing 2’ - 3’.
